I am Kanarupan — a software engineer working on search and retrieval systems. This site is where I think in public.
Why publish unfinished thinking
Writing something down is how I find out whether I actually understand it. Publishing it is how I find out whether I am wrong. So the pages here are not finished essays defending settled positions; they are the working out, revised whenever the argument changes.
How the site is organised
Notes are short and written quickly. Articles are longer and carry a visible revision log. Both are linked to each other and gathered under topics, so a thread of thinking can be followed instead of merely searched.
Every page keeps its URL permanently. If you link to something here, the link will keep working.
